Tufuta is a platform that provides footfall, location occupancy & visitor behaviour insights The hardware free solution provides accurate footfall measurement across key shopping and trading areas such as town centres, feeder streets & business areas. The solution allows a fully understanding of the impacts of both local changes and national trends in visitors and how and when they shop. Combine this with historical people counting & footfall data to better understand any impacts, marketing, events and both any short- or long-term investment. Benchmark your activities against like demographic towns nearby. The solution requires no infrastructure, therefore negates the need for planning permissions and heavy investment. Many of our clients are business improvement districts (BID’s) have found the current and historic footfall data set extremely helpful during these pandemic times.

How we do it

Analysis is based on the simple premiss of collecting multiple cell tower transfer points from selected partners & vendors via a protected SDK, The formulised API/SDK collects real-time; mobile device geo-location data, this provides the location of device which is in turn geo-fenced typically within a two metre location; time stamped & accumulated dwell time collected within the selected zones or multiples of zones

With no requirement for a hardware infrastructure, you are able to measure without the need to seek planning permissions or contravening GDPR.

Street Insights

Whilst heat maps are great to visualise the pedestrian flows and footfall, and the Tufuta solution can also provide these, the solution can give a much higher resolution of data by looking at dwell times in front of retailer’s windows or local monuments. The data is designed to be easily exported as an Excel file, into your own reporting solution, or view through our online portal from any HTML enabled device.
